JavaScript is a programming language that allows websites to offer sounds as well as interactive menus and other features. To ensure these facilities are available when you surf the web, you'll need to enable JavaScript on your browser. We've already show you how to do it in Firefox 5, Internet Explorer 9 and Google Chrome but it's slightly different to implement in Apple Safari. Here's how.
Make sure you can see interactive menus and other features
Step one
Open Safari, and then using the icon that looks like a cog, open the settings menu and Select Preferences.
Step two
Select the tab marked 'Security' and under the Web Content section ensure the box next to Enable JavaScript is ticked.
Step three
Alternatively to disable JavaScript, untick the box. Then press the cross in the top right-hand corner to close the Preferences pop-up and continue browsing.
